After she left the room, Wolf turned to Lawrence who walked up to the sink and began washing his hands. “Any news today?” he whispered.

After a deep sigh while rubbing soap on his hands and wrists, Lawrence looked at Wolf. “Well, we all believe Clint Taylor is dead, including his mother. She is so sick and to have this thrown at her like this is disheartening. Owen is such a sick fuck for doing this.”

Wolf glanced at the door, making sure Angela wasn’t coming back yet. “We have to stop him. He has Angela terrified and God knows what those girls he took are going through.”

Rinsing his hands and wiping them on the towel next to the sink, Lawrence reached his hand behind Wolf’s neck and pulled him close. “We’ll get him, baby. I will die first before I let him hurt Ang.”

Resting his forehead against Lawrence’s, Wolf rested his hand on the man’s chest. “We’ll both protect her from this maniac. She’s ours and no one is going to take her from us.”

Lawrence leaned in and kissed his lover’s mouth tenderly, briefly, before pulling away. Bending down, he picked up his shirt that Wolf had tossed aside in their heated moment. Pulling it on, he buttoned a few buttons before sitting at the table.

By the time Angela wandered back into the kitchen, wearing a red pullover sweater in place of the blouse that had most likely been ruined by the butter that had been spread on her breasts, dinner was on the table. Wolf had finished the vegetables that he had started before Lawrence had arrived.

Lawrence stood as she walked to the table and he held out her chair, the one next to him. He waited until she sat down before he sat back down. Wolf sat in the chair to her right at the round table and began to dish up the casserole he had gotten from the Goodall’s housekeeper, Martha. Filling each plate, he handed them out to each of his lovers and then took a plate for himself. Setting it down before him, he glanced at Lawrence and Angela before he began to eat, savoring the homey atmosphere they had developed.
